There was suspicious black pick up driving around last night around 107th and Central Park yesterday. My son got the plate but have not heard if anything went wrong yesterday. Hopefully not. The driver and passenger did see all of us taking the plate down so maybe we scared them off. Are we just being paranoid?
PLEASE CALL. We should not be afraid to call 911. Something went off in your heads and you got a bad feeling. You did everything right. Got a description, got the plate and you are potentially a good witness. However, by not calling, you did not go far enough. You are not paranoid. Stop telling yourselves that. That is the politician/reverend/media talking. By calling, you can be stopping a crime. Here is what you tell 911.
"There is someone suspicious slowing riding around the neighborhood. I've seen them 4 times just driving by slowly, looking at (insert what you think they are looking at, i.e. kids, cars, houses). I would like the police to drive by and take a look at them." Then provide the description to the call taker. Do not take 'no' for an answer. This is your neighborhood.
Had a fun time Saturday watching a drug deal go down as I drove home. The house at 15000 S. St.Louis did the drug transaction right out in the street. Called 911 only to find out 22 was in a backlog at 7pm. 30 minutes after the call the wagon drove by but everyone was gone by then.
The house also has two newer (a couple of months now) pit-bulls in the yard.
For the person that posted this, what is the correct address? MTGP is not concerned if this is occuring in Midlothian as much as if it is occurring in Mt. Greenwood. If it is Mt. Greenwood, would the tact/gang guys take a look at this. That is if they get their arrest east of Bell first?
I'm contemplating running for alderman, I'm extremely tired of this city government!
Love the idea. Can you convince the other 49 wards to change their leadership too? Rooting for some change that we can believe in.

It is the house on the southwest corner of 115th street and St Louis. My wife saw him sell to two diffrent cars as she was coming home. Happened Saturday just after 7 pm. Made me miss the start if the Hawks game listening to her explain what she saw then listening to the scanner to make sure a unit was dispatched. The wagon drove by about twenty minutes later. Apparently no 2211, 2211A, or tact cars available. Oh well. Thanks to the wagon guys for actually driving by.
My question for MTGP is that if I get photo's of the seller and of the buyers, including plate numbers, besides obviously forwarding them to the authorities. Will MTGP post them? I'm retired and have nothing better to do.
Sure, we'll post photos of the neighborhood. We would love posting photos of various vehicles and people that decide to put themselves in the public eye. We don't care what is depicted in the photos. We don't make any money doing this so we do not profit off of any photos taken of the community. Any pictures taken on the public way are free to be posted. Heck, Daley is filming us every chance he gets, so the public can film too.

ok here we go again... on 29 may 2010 2211 is sent once again to a burglar alarm at 113 and ADA... then check later and 2211 is east again on a disturbance at 95th and racine.. I know what your saying... its ok, because im sure 2211A is on the beat!! Think again! at the same time 2211A is at a domestic at 118 and hale and 2212 is sent to a job at 103rd and wallace... once again, this is not the beat officers fault but the bosses, sgts and oemc for leaving the west end completly unprotected. after seeing this I looked in web mapping on I clear system and looked up the gps system(which every officer can now utilize) and the closest car to the west end of 022 was at(drumroll please) ....................... the 022nd district station! no cars anywhere west. the cars parked at the station were the closest cars to 2211s beat. absolutly pathetic

Also, I would like to say good job by 2211 the other night for getting two guys at 3700 w 111th street for 2027... one of the guys were charged with mfg/del of cocaine and the other with possession... even though none of the charges will stick after reading the narrative its still great work and totally appreciated out here in the neighborhood. Im glad that the officers working 2211 on 3rd watch are willing to work out here..I just hate that oemc and the bosses pull them east. Obviously these guys give a damn and want to work/stop people out here..yet the bosses are sending them east... well for what its worth 2211, thanks and good work.. PLEASE keep it up and make arrests out here of "visitors" to our neighborhood...

Indeed it was great police work but the narrative they have for delivery wont stick in probable cause court... Im not saying the coppers did anything wrong but in the court system we have its not gonna stick.. one guy has one rock, the other guy has 8.. they claim delivery because the packaging is consistant with mfg and delivery... in probable cause court the judge wont find because of that. the officers did not elaborate on the facts needed. It was across the street from a park which was not noted at all in narrative. no hand to hand, no transactions, just traffic stop, no dl, custodial and finding rock... they charged him because of packaging which will not stand up in p/c court. it sucks but its the truth.. either way, 2211, GREAT JOB.. Im not bashing you one bit. Im so glad/impressed you guys are taking care of the hood and especially my family when im at work. Keep up the great work we appreciate it more than you will ever know!

This is why I asked if I should call. I have been called Racist by the police here for calling in about suspicious people who happen to be black in the past.Dispatch has even hinted at that as well. Just because a person(s) who is acting suspiciously happens to be black, it does not mean we are being racist.It means we have not seen that person before and he/she is acting strange. Take photos of suspicious vehicles and persons if possible, but dont needlessly endanger yourself.

If the responding officer calls you a racist or the call taker calls you a racist, let us know we'll find out and handle it. If you know Sgt Mulcahey (022-Tact Ret.) Ask Him-His Team did a positive warrant on the house.

Again, some of you just don't get my point.Citizens call of a black man in the neighborhood,good,but could be a kid from Bro. Rice, SXU.... I know what dude is, and what dude is all about.
