2211 Narcotics arrest?

We are getting word that Bt. 2211 made a narcotics arrest on the 10800 blk of Pulaski on June 23rd?!? If this is true, we are sending another kudos their way. We need to start carrying those granola bars around and hand them out to the officers that make these nice arrests in our neighborhood.

Any details of arrest would be welcomed. Great job if this is true!!!!

I've bashed 2211 for getting into footchases where they shouldn't be. Good work officers and keep it coming.

It's definitely true and it's the same wonders u constantly bash. Yet they still made another great arrest on 2211.

Put another one on the f'n board for 2211. looked up the arrest great police work

Great work. But I'm surprised as short as 22 and all the rest of the Police Department is, that they actually had enough time to spend on the beat. Just remember for those who all live here, as a police officer, we are just getting shorter and shorter of help. The 22nd district is a little better during the summer, but once school resumes, it will be back to normal. At least half the district is assigned to the schools for arrival and dismissal. Please take this into account when Daley and Rugai are running for office again. Rugai sees the problems and is on the Police and Fire commitee. Does she do anything? No. Just buy a scanner and listen to the calls in the 22nd district. You will understand why there is always a huge wait for service in our area. I love living here, but it bothers me that those who pay the most taxes, get the least service.

do like the 008th district does then. they dont care about the non taxpaying idiots east and they keep 811,812, 851 and 859 on thier beats all the time. 851 is the rapid for 811 and 859 is the rapid for 812.. that means two cars on each beat all day and four cars helping eachother out in the garfield ridge/clearing neighborhood. the only time I see 4 cars on 2211s beat is when they are eating lunch at bourbon street. the alderman in 008 ordered the cars to say like that... why doesnt our alderman do that??

Anonymous said...

the problem is there are only 3 beats per sector in 22---When 22 was a slow district that was acceptable--but now, since things have changed--we need at least 1 more beat per sector--call Rugai---Does anyone else know of any districts that only have 3 beats per sector??? 008 has 5 per sector

lets not all get nuts here... it was a white kid with a non prescription.. sure, good felony arrest for some court but I really dont think it was the big problem of the neighborhood...still though, its great to see that stops are being made around my house...and after all, a good arrest is a good arrest no matter what its for or who it is. good work boys(or girls) and please keep it up. I live about 3 blocks from 105 and pulaski and its great to see!! also, a little tip that im sure you may or may not know. The store at 107 and pulaski is a hot bed for DUDE stopping in. They always are passing bye and stop there for boose and blunts. also, on several occasions ive seen dude just parked sitting in his car in the lot not using any of the buisnesses. I like the guys that run that always open store, but if it closed I dont think there would be anymore problems. its dirty and its nothing more than another ghetto store. the store owners are very nice people but it just attracts trash... something needs to be done over there.

Kudos to the officers paying more attn. to the Carwash at 115/Kedzie. No doubt the owner made some calls to protect his business. Even the gangbanging thugs from the cemetery are wary to wash their vehicles there now! I used to see thugs around there, but not after the story broke out. God bless the officers who took notice! These officers should be commended!!! I feel safe to go to the Carwash again. Thank you Lord Jesus! Thank you!

Someone has a bag on illicitly obtained rx meds on his person, in his vehicle, he's going to fucking take them. Last time I checked that was DUI-Drugs.

Quit minimizing asshole.

Thank you officers.

Hey strokes, why dont you read and post the rest of this guys post which praised the officers and the efforts being made? Sure its a good felony arrest and they are doing it where it should be done but its not like they cleared up a robbery/burglary pattern which is plaguing the neighborhood. It was a good arrest and that's all it was... some white kid passing through on pulaski isn't exactly the bust of a lifetime. stop trying to maximize an arrest for a non prescription.. Im not bashing the officers in any way at all because they did their job...im bashing all of you guys for thinking this is some major arrest that's gonna send a message to the SHITHEADS from the east who are terrorizing the neighborhood. either way, good work officers keep it up. your defiantly doing more than anyone else has cared to do out in this neighborhood.

Let the record reflect -

The kid had a lot of prescription pills, the kind that the kids in Mount Greenwood like to buy, in a bag.

He was in our area to go to his girlfriends house and they were out selling these pills.

This was a very good arrest if you have teenage children in the neighborhood.

The officers that made the stop called some fellow officers in narcotics - this is an on-going thing, and all involved are trying to clean up our neighborhood, be it prescription narcotics (which are illegal) or not.

Be thankful somebody is doing their jobs and keeping an eye on the home front.

I don't know what drugs exactly that kid had but I will tell you that the number ONE drug problem out there right now is prescription drugs but it's still under the radar as the NIMH has only recently started commenting on it (they are usually 3-5 years behind the substance abuse trends). Oxycontin is more powerful than heroin. WAY more powerful and we have an entire new generation of narcotics addicts who have never stuck a needle in their arm. Yet, doctors prescribe it like it was candy. If you don't work with substance abusers you would not know this. So, thank you officers for doing your job. And to the asshole who criticized me on one side of his mouth while complimenting out the other. Screw you. Stop minimizing the type of bust it was and amount dope that was confiscated. Either it's illegal or it's not, period. Those officers just may have interrupted a cycle of misery that could have lasted those kids (and the people who love them) a lifetime. Or, maybe TASC will get those kids some help. It's not just about "shitheads." And for the record, maybe YOU should go through your medicine cabinet to see if anything is missing or trying rifling through your kids drawers and see what you find. In other words, wake the fuck up. There's a whole world out there that is evidently beyond your purview.

Now go back to your crossword puzzle.

And exactly why do you think you have a "burglary pattern" in Mt. Greenwood, or anywhere for that matter?

Drugs. It's all related, stroke

Thanks, officers.

To those involved in this arrest, I thank you for doing your job and taking some of this crap off the streets! And those making light of this arrest, you should be pleased that for at least one night, at least a few kids were unable to get hold of some crap they shouldn't have in the first place!

so what they made a dope arrest...who cares!!! your a police officer your supposed to make arrests. your supposed to stay on the beat... you supposed to do work on your beat.. back in the day it was called beat integrity.. you were expected to stay on your beat and you were expected to get an arrest on your beat no matter what beat you worked. Back then you were expected to get an arrest on your beat and you got screamed at and your balls busted by your sgt if you left your beat...now, if you get an arrest on your beat you get a parade in your honor. give me a break, this whole thread and comments just show inexperience and people who have no idea how this police department was. i worked in 005 and 022 in my first 6 or so years on the job in the late 70s and early 80s... the coppers on the west end of 022(21,13,12 and 11) all came in with good stuff on the beat. People went to jail for looking at them wrong. burglary arrests, disorderlies, thefts, drunks and especially if "someone" who didnt live in the neighborhood was stopped and they had no reason for being there they were taken for trespassing.. whatever house they were in front of was the complainant with the p.os signing complaints. if dude keeps going to jail for being here for no reason then he will soon get the point. today you give these young guys a trophy for making an arrest on the beat... and you wonder why crime is getting out of control and the neighborhood is going to sh*t. I know, I use to prey on the bad guys out in 2211 and 2212 back in the early 80s.
