2211 afternoons kudos

It has been mentioned in the comments about arrests and activity generated by 2211 on the afternoon watch and the effort being made.

We have seen some of this activity and we really appreciate it. They appear to be doing the job that we would like for them to do and it is not going unnoticed. They are just one car but they seem to try hard. Who gives a crap about narratives flying in court. Half of the stuff police make arrests for in Cook County gets dismissed anyway. That being said, the arrests do make a difference. They start to scare the crap out of the criminals that choose to commit crimes in our neighborhood.

MTGP salutes 2211 afternoons for the work they are doing. We have also noticed a couple of times that the residents of 2211 have been calling the police more on afternoons, which in turn forces 2211 or another car to come to Mt. Greenwood. We love it.

Remember, there is more to working a beat car on 2211 than numbers. Quality activity and presence are worth more than numbers generated by the unit.

Drove past the house at 115/St Louis. What a dump, lawn looks like shit and the house looks very run down. Who owns this place? Are the owners renting? And what is the decsription of the person(s) selling there?

Someone should have started this blog five years ago. But I don't think it's too late.

3500 w. 116th place is a rental house also. They have their "barbeques" on the weekends and looks like a scene out of englewood with all of them smoking blunts in the driveway and garage as families walk by. All the neighbors call but beat car comes an hour later. Some family from Lockport owns it as an "investment" property.

Do what they do, call the police and demand service NOW. Tell the police that they are openly using drugs and for the police to get a squad over there!

This cannot be allowed to happen. If you do nothing, you are condoning their behavior. You have to make it clear to the district that this type of behavior is unacceptable, period.

What's up with the officer who parks in his driveway in the 10300 block of St. Louis for hours at a time; sometimes for 4-5 hrs? Maybe he's the reason 2211 gets called of their beat; to handle his jobs.

Keep on Callin the Cops for All police related matters on 22211. Don't let up, just be legit. Plenty of things requiring police attention are going on. Lots of underage drinking, teen disturbances, noise disturbances, suspicious persons and vehicles, drug usage, etc. Just call if you believe something isn't right and some type of crime or City ordinance violation is occurring...
