Two self-admitted gang members and another teen have been charged with robbing two young boys in Oak Lawn Saturday afternoon.
Mark Hayes, of 9609 S. Keeler Ave. in Oak Lawn; and Chicagoans Kendrae D. Williams, of 6950 S. Fairfield Ave., and Norris Davison, of 6240 S. Bishop St., have been charged with one count each of felony robbery, according to an Oak Lawn police release. All three are 17.
On Saturday, a 13-year-old boy was walking in the 9700 block of Kolmar Avenue when Davison allegedly jumped out of a 1996 Ford Taurus and snatched an iTouch music player from him and drove away, the release said.
A short time later, the same vehicle with the same three offenders pulled up to an 11-year-old boy at 98th and Kostner, where Hayes allegedly jumped out and snatched a cell phone from the boy, the release said.
The first victim's parents saw the robbery and followed the Taurus until they lost sight of it at 95th and Pulaski, the release said.
Moments later, Evergreen Park police stopped the Taurus at 95th and Homan. The victims were brought to the scene and both identified the three teens. The stolen items were recovered in the Taurus, police said.
Hayes and Williams are admitted gang members, the release said.
The three were scheduled for a court hearing Monday morning in Bridgeview, although court information was not immediately available.
Are these the robbers/home invaders/burglars that have been preying on our community. Can anyone tie these guys to anything that happened in Mt Greenwood? Kudos Evergreen Park P.D.

Aren't Section 8 building owners supposed to screen residents or throw them out if they are criminals?

Attend caps meetings , demand bt 2211 and 2212 stay on beat
10 sector should be from 95th to 119th st from longwood drive to city limits west , sectors were realigned so sector and beat cars are assigned to east end of district
22 needs 5 cars assigned to a sector not 3 citizens wake up we have 3 beat cars fro 95 to 119thst vincennes to city limits west
guess where all the crime is
19th ward needs a copper to run for alderman

I just found this blog. Thank you for starting it. As a Mt Greenwood resident my interest in keeping Mt Greenwood safe for another few generations is high so I am glad to see this blog.
Plain and simple the only way to preserve our community is to first get a Alderman who has our best interest ahead of their own political brown nosing. Second there is no reason that with all the police officers living in Mt.Greenwood myself included that we cant get some guys on 2211 who are personally invested in our neighborhood. Put guys on the beat who have a incentive to stay on the beat.
Success stories like this happen quite a bit in the suburbs because they have adequate manpower and share radio channels with nearby departments. Unfortunately, Chicago does not have enough manpower and doesn't share a radio channel with the nearby suburbs,

As a citizen on 2211's beat I would love for more officers who care about Mt.Greenwood to come to the district to work, and I'm tired of hearing about these officers that think the neighborhood is just a bunch of racist hillbillies. If you think that then get the fuck out of here.I would much rather have an experienced officer from the neighborhood work here.

They need to get rid of the 2 yr wonders, they don't have 15 yrs on but yet they are put on 06 cars and 2211 but yet want to stay over east. I know for a fact you don't have to have 15 yrs. on in order to get into 022. Give 2211 and 2211a to the officers that aren't worried about getting that 1 dime bag of weed and want to protect the residents of Mt.Greenwood. Also, Certain officers (one in particular) needs to STOP reffering to MTG as a RACIST WHITE TRASH HILLBILLY NEIGHBORHOOD. If they don't like it let them bid out. Or make sure they are always put on the east end.

2211 last nite had 2 officers will a total of 5yrs on the job--2 officers- they made stops in racine courts. thanx guys

So since you havent heard it, it must be wrong. Your the eye's and ears of everything that is said in 22 by everyone in 22,rite. Doooooyeeee!
Last night 3 M1's walking thru neighborhood, called 911 and reported it. They were stopped by police, questioned, and let go.
They told police they were playing basketball at MG Park. (no nets there) They were later found to have a car parked nearby where they were walking.
Keep Calling EVERY time you see something that dont look right.
