- Asked whether Wortham’s deaths provides a boost for the city’s battle for what Daley termed “common-sense gun laws,” the mayor said: “Oh, I hope so. I hope it does. Here’s a young man [who] served twice in Iraq. Father’s a police officer, an unbelievable police officer. You better believe it. It does add [momentum], and it should. It should wake up America.”
If Wortham’s attackers couldn’t obtain guns, Daley said, Wortham’s shooting “never would have happened. Access to guns in America — everybody can have guns. It doesn’t matter who they are. It doesn’t matter if they have a criminal record or not. They have access to guns. That’s the most frustrating issue.”
MTGP does not believe a single thing that this Dipstick says and he is wrong for using the death of a police officer as a way to further his political goals.
We have a God given right to protect ourselves from harm. Period. By any means necessary. Do not let Dipstick take those God given rights away. Now, more than ever, we need to protect ourselves and our community. If we need to use guns, use them and go home to your family every day.

first, I agree completly... I actually stopped listening to daley about 5 years ago. its all about ritchie all the time. on a lighter and promising note.... 2211 third watch 20 may 10, went in with three for 1811 at about 11130 s trumbull tonight... not sure where the arrestees lived or what demographic the animals were but it just goes to show if you stay out on the beat the arrests will come... thats one from pig city yesterday and three today... hmmm, seems like decent numbers to me for a beat car.. i dont know which officers it was but if its the regular beat guys maybe they can learn they dont have to go east if they want numbers... everything they need is right out here.
What the idiot Mayor or the media doesn't say is thank God retired Sgt Wortham had a gun and knew how to use it, otherwise he probably would be dead too. Yes Mr Mayor...your stupid gun ban is working, right?....the mutts will always get guns...Mr Mayor doesn't care, he has armed body guards for him and his family. RIP Officer, you will be missed.
I can't believe Mr. "stick this rifle up your ***" is still mayor. Hopefully the supreme court case will be decided soon and the people of Chicago can once again defend themselves.
Illinois is the only state that doesn't have a way for ordinary citizens to carry a loaded handgun for self defense, is it any wonder so many gang bangers have Indiana plates? We're easy targets!
